​        The father of Economics , Adam Smith once postulated that ,"Little less is requisite to carry a state to the highest degree of opulence from the lowest barbarism but peace , easy taxes , and a tolerable administration . He further suggested that ," all the rest being  brought about by the natural course of things ". One would form an inference that , Adam Smith did not support the payment of tax . Far from this conclusion , he only suggested that, tax is not the only way to take money from the citizenry . . That not being said , no citizen is against tax payment as we would all agree that taxes are indispensable in the growth of the local economy . The resentment towards tax payment sterns from the fact that, little is done with the much generated revenue . Protecting Acquatic Life ! Is Ghana Aware ?

​An oceanographer by  name Sylvia Earle once claimed that "Great attention get paid to rainforests because of the diversity of life there. Diversity in the ocean is even greater ". The United Nations'  Sustainable Development goals do have a goal dubbed "Life Below Water " . This goal is essential and pivotal to the life of the world . In fact , the ocean covers about seventy five percent of the Earth's surface . The ocean invariably contains about two thousand species . These species are salient to the life of all humans . Without any iota of doubt , human dependency on Oceania life can never be underestimated .  Around the world , most people engage in aquaculture,  that is , the cultivation of species in the ocean . This activity generates a lot of income both to the government and the individual . Nonetheless , due to man's avariciousness,  this life below water is seriously under threat . Is Ghana Truly Independent?

 In 1957, the first prime minister of  Gold Coast Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah declared Gold Coast a sovereign state and subsequently changed the name from Gold Coast to Ghana. It is nonetheless worth noting that, history makes it clear that Dr Emmanuel Joseph Boakye Danquah suggested the name Ghana as it draws its motivation from the Old Ghana Empire. On 6th March 1957, the prime minister by then Dr Kwame Nkrumah who led Ghana to Independence clearly made a profound statement that lingers on ," Ghana ,your beloved country is free forever" . He also made a declaration by saying," the black man is capable of managing his own affairs."  In this sense , Nkrumah explicitly did refer to the white man clearly incompetent of managing the affairs of the black person.
